Day 28: Spices, Youthful Appearance

Updated: Nov 24, 2024

Not much of an interesting day. Went to class - the young 20-something year old guy in the second class

thought I was kind of cute and was pleased when I said only men who travel are good looking. But then he guessed that I was 28.... a decade too early hun. They all were in awe. So besides the wrinkles I can see on my face and dropped chubby cheeks and the halo of grey hair, I'm still in my 20s!

Went to the gym and last piano lesson - I need to really get the notes and a piano myself.

Starting to do more facial masks, they actually do rejuvenate your skin- buying a shyt ton here because they are like $1 versus the $6 at home. Tried to find a facial wand, but nothing.

And the best empanadas go to..... some tiny small place I keep walking by on the next corner and finally decided I wanted something small before I go back in, they didn't have anything other than bandejas pretty much (and we know I can't stand a bandeja paisa). Got a papa and a chicken empanada - they gave me a nice spicy salsa that was amazing! Colombians do NOT like spice, so when you go out, do not expect anything with sauce of spices or any kind of topping as such. Cream sauces, yes. Salsa, no. But they had one!!! And it was watery so you already knew it had a kick. A kick so good I deem it the best empanadads in Medellin so far.
