Well, then there was a roach in the tub. So I'm done with this hotel. And didn't get my statues.
Delphi was literally around the corner. Visited the Temple of Athena first then up to the famous site for the Temple of Apollo.
Now I see recreations of the buildings and didn't realize how massive these were.
Since it was hot and I've done it before, I didn't go up to the stadium.
The museum has some nice relics, relics that should be remade and put on the actual building. Guess that means more money to pay for things.
We went to a restaurant picked out by the company and not given any other options.
I ate the chicken filet 4/5- sauce was good.
We ended up picking up 30 more folks so now our bus is completely full. Looking at their faces, movements and suitcases, bet that was a chaotic routine for them.
Thermopylae
The stage of the 300 (movie). There is only a statue, nothing more to see.
Interesting to just note the road and terrain, thinking about how the ancient people had to maneuver and fight here. How many people perished over, likely a misunderstanding. Or maybe not.
Hotel Oferas: 3/5
Dinner was Ok, Breakfast was subpar.
Room was clean, at least but no shower curtain. Balcony is semi-shared and you can literally see into multiple others rooms if you really wanted to be a nosy one.
The shops around the area were like the penny Chinese shops in the US- not worth visiting except for trinkets. 🙂 Early morning tomorrow on our last day.
